I used Konqueror as a browser long long ago, and was jazzed when I first heard Apple would be building on KHTML. It’s been awesome to see how starting with a light, well-structured, hackable browser core has helped the WebKit team do a lot of things, from the small-device ports to the range of CSS, HTML5, and performance improvements that I’ve been seeing on this blog (and in the nightlies).

I live in the Bay Area but will be in Japan during this get-together. Oh, the irony!
